Hello, I’m Chloe Turner, an author from Gloucestershire, UK. This is me reading at a Stroud Short Stories live-lit event. I live near Stroud with my family, three guinea pigs and lots of bees. I represent my community as a Green Party district and county councillor – that side of my life is here on Facebook IMG_0741and here on Twitter. I also play the trombone in a local brass band.

My short stories have been published in many literary magazines and anthologies (see Writing Page for more details). In 2020, I was delighted to be shortlisted in the Bridport Prize. I have previously won the Local Prize in the Bath Short Story Award 2018 two years running, including with my story Witches Sail in Eggshells, which is also the title story in my debut collection, published June 2019. I was also thrilled to have my story ‘Waiting for the Runners’ selected for inclusion in the SALT Publishing anthology, Best British Stories 2018.

My first novel, Blue Hawk, was published by Deixis Press in summer 2024.
