Blue Hawk is set in mid-17th century rural Gloucestershire, at the height of the Stroudwater woollen industry, the novel tells the story of a weaver’s daughter with a fascination for colour, who defies deep-rooted custom and personal tragedy to create a role for herself in the dyeing business. The plot is inspired by a number of real-life stories and story fragments from the period, and touches on themes of sisterhood, friendship & betrayal, and displacement, set in a time of great social change..

The first reviews are in, and I couldn’t be happier with them!
