Chloe Turner is a short story writer and historical novelist from Stroud, Gloucestershire. When she’s not writing, she represents her local community as a Green Party district and county councillor – that side of her life is here on Facebook and here on Instagram. She also plays the trombone with Stroud Red Band.
Chloe has been writing short stories for many years, and has been published in many literary magazines and anthologies. In 2020, she was delighted to be shortlisted in the Bridport Prize, and has previously won the Local Prize in the Bath Short Story Award 2018 two years running, including with her story Witches Sail in Eggshells, which was also the title story in her debut collection, published June 2019. Chloe was privileged to have her story ‘Waiting for the Runners’ selected for inclusion in the SALT Publishing anthology, Best British Stories 2018. 
Chloe’s first historical novel, Blue Hawk, was published by Deixis Press in summer 2024. Her second novel, A Calamity of Waters, will be published on 27 August 2026.
